The efforts of educational theorists, philosophers, and influencers in early childhood education have contributed to the understanding and image of children as unique beings with their own significant and individual characteristics, and have helped us conduct our work in a way that supports children's growth and learning.

The field of education has been shaped by factors built upon the best practices of early childhood education from a research perspective and how these research and theories impact our knowledge and awareness development in the creation of appropriate strategies for effective early intervention.

My mission is to find alternatives where my community can have the opportunity to receive classes in their own language (Spanish) and to be able to share the pedagogy and knowledge that students desire. I want to find a way to offer these individuals information in content areas of early childhood and preschool education, matching learning experiences with the learning styles, cultures, and developmental stages of adult learners.

Many students in early childhood education are unaware of the origins and enriching history of early childhood education, which aims to enrich children's lives. The image of children has changed over the centuries, and names like Locke, Rousseau, Froebel, Montessori, and Dewey are unknown or not considered important roots in our profession due to a lack of awareness of their important work.

Going back in time and reviewing each of the contributions of key figures in the history of early childhood education helps professionals in this field better understand how children's growth and learning differ depending on the religious, political, economic, and social pressures of different eras. It is important to remember that child development is very complex; therefore, no single theory could fully encompass all aspects of it. Therefore, each of the theories is considered an indispensable piece in completing this incredible and extraordinary puzzle.
